COP 2 / Seminar / Manifesto Reading Overview

The seminar focused around group readings of manifestos and critical analyses of these manifestos in order to put into practice 'triangulation', simply the contrast and comparison - in relation to a related subject - between at least 3 texts or readings.

Our group was given the 2005-06 text, First Things First (Revisited) by Rick Poynor. We were to strongly consider cultural and social context in our analyses.

The critique looks at the original First Things First manifesto from a largely political standpoint, noting both its positive effects in the years following its conception but also the distinct notion that the tide is simply too engrained to quell.

We are now to put eachother's readings into practice through triangular analysis of an existing piece of graphic design.
