Matthew's lecture on the power of illustration across all media was informative and interesting.
The key point illustrated throughout was the huge influence materials, tone, texture and medium all have in an illustration, for example an illustration of a dog in grey watercolour sends a completely different message to one in brightly coloured crayon.
