Perhaps it's my low student bank balance but I've always been taken in and intrigued by luxury branding. How can branding increase the desire for a product which is probably made in the same factory as something sold for half as much?
The Theories of Identity seminar really made sense to me and linked nicely luxury branding and how people are influenced by a higher value reflection of their selves and their lives.
I'd like to explore how much effect branding has on projecting this perceived value and what means are used to reach these ends.
