OUGD501 / COP2 / Theory Into Practice / Visuals

So the font is chosen and I want the collection to make a strong visual statement with the imagery. I wanted to use clothing and fashion in some regard, but channelling the same sinister feeling that the type and words should convey.

An idea came to me to scan in ultra close up imagery of clothing to create an abstract, twisted version of traditional fashion photography. I want the whole piece to blend image and type into one tongue in cheek, brutally scientific guide of how to sell to an audience.

The first image I created was this of some grey jeans. It's a really strong punchy image that works perfectly with the concept of showing fashion in a different, more abstract way.

Above: another really strong image. The folds of the clothing means that nice grids and lines can be made and manipulated.

My wardrobe is quite.. . grey but I wanted to add some colour, bringing to some variation to the collection.

I was thinking about a double page spread when I produced the above image. The clothes were really interesting to work with when trying to create abstract and formal patterns and compositions.
