OUGD601 / COP3 / Practical / First Mechanised Drawing

Spent the morning in digital print hoping to try out different techniques, pens etc on the plotter / cutter. Turns out I chose an extremely fine scribble width which left me watching the machine draw for 2 hours!

The results... It's definitely caught the intricacies of my hand but as expected with none of the intricate depth that you'd get from a photographic print. James mentioned creating a couple of layers with differing widths in order to get this right.

So I have a few options... bringing into question the context of the project and how far I should go to make a process 'good'.
  • Experiment excessively with the medium until I achieve some sort of Perfect print at the end of it.
  • Do a few more prints with a couple of other varying widths until something a bit more exciting is produced.
  • Leave as is... Concentrate on other applications.

I definitely need better, more interesting imagery which can be easily achieved with the help of Laura, a good friend on Photography 3rd Year!
