OUGD601 / COP3 / Practical Project

Went to digital print again today and tried some new mechanical drawings!

Much better than the first attempt, I used three layers, three colours with differing angles and different amounts of shading. Here's the results:

First one was great until the final layer (black) which somehow misaligned. It's kind of cool that a machine made a 'mistake' and certainly links to the second chapter of my essay.


Thanks to James in digital print the second version worked perfectly. The colours are fantastic on the antique white paper. Could maybe do with a bit more detail in the Scribble but its still definitely recognisable as a hand as is.


Finally tried some psychedelic line drawings but the colours didn't work well on the darker stock I chose.


However, inverted and zoomed in, it gets really interesting!
